UNNC signs Talent Development MOU with Bank of Ningbo
March 21, 2018, an MOU was signed between the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) and the Bank of Ningbo, kicking off a long-term strategic collaboration on international talent development.
At the ceremony, UNNC Associate Provost Professor CUI Ping described her personal relationship with the Bank of Ningbo as a long-term friendship, and she also acknowledged the innovative talent management model and global vision of the bank. She added that many UNNC graduates now work in leading financial intuitions world-wide including in the “Big Four” accounting firms.
Associate Dean of UNNC’s Faculty of Business, Prof. Martin Liu commented that students could improve their employability by taking tailored NAA programmes, so as to quickly adapt to the highly-efficient working environment at the Bank of Ningbo.
Chairman of the Bank of Ningbo’s Supervisory Board, Mr. Hong Lifeng expressed his gratitude for UNNC’s long-term support, as well as his expectations of cooperation. “This win-win cooperation sets a notable example for communications between advanced international knowledge and local finance industries”, he said.
The MOLU marks the beginning of the strategic cooperation on joint talent development and research collaboration. Specific cooperative projects include senior and mid-level management training programmes, “train the trainer”, course development and PG/PhD degree talent.
The Bank of Ningbo was founded in 1997 and listed on Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2007, the first commercial city bank nationwide to be publicly listed. With total assets of RMB 950 billion and more than 15,000 employees, it ranks among the World’s Top 200 banks.
